We pulled out of River Road RV park in Ontonagon MI about 9:30 this morning. We moved about 125 miles, it\u2019s the closest spot we could find to Pictured Rock State Park, and we\u2019re not all that close.<\/p>\n
We\u2019re in a back in spot while we\u2019re level it was interestingly tight to back into. But with Mary and our neighbor\u2019s help I managed to get backed in on the second attempt, aparently the big rig before us ended up in the trees, and they had to cut some limbs so they could get in and out of the rig.<\/p>\n
To unhook the jeep I had the motorhome pounding forward downhill and the back of the jeep was down hill the other way, we made sure it wasn\u2019t going to roll before unhooking the safety chains.<\/p>\n
Because we\u2019re just here a week, and it would have been a challenge to unload the bike, we elected to just leave it loaded, to unload the bike, once we were in the spot, I would have had to pull forward and block the exit while we took the bike off.<\/p>\n
I had planned to ride it to Pictured Rock, but now we\u2019ll just add more miles to the jeep.<\/p>\n
The one bad thing about this spot is road noise, WOW! On the flip side, once the fog lifted, this super expensive spot has a great view of Lake Superior out the window.<\/p>\n
Speaking of traffic I kinda forgot what it\u2019s like to drive in traffic. After 2 months in rural areas this traffic takes some getting use to and did I mention that Walmart was a might crowded for a Thursday early afternoon. Plenty of shopping around here, Walmart, Mijer, Best Buy, Lowes, and many more box stores.<\/p>\n
