I wouldn\u2019t exactly call our approximately 155 mile move totally uneventful but interesting. We pulled out of Gitche Gumee campground, Marquette MI about 9:00, first stop was directly across the road to hook up the jeep. The campground is directly across the road from a scenic pullout. \u00a0We walked over there a couple of times but the steps were missing and we didn\u2019t feel like struggling back up the hill.<\/p>\n
First, while driving next to a paving crew, the road was kinda narrow, when some contractor decides to start driving directly at me then pulled off in the grass, but it was an eye opener for a few seconds.<\/p>\n
Later, we were behind a couple of semi\u2019s at a construction stop light, it\u2019s at an expressway overpass, the kind where you can\u2019t see past the hill.<\/p>\n
It was a longish red light, the light turns green we all take off when over the hump pops a single car. Me thinks the young lady learned a valuable lesson about running red lights as she had to pull over in the grass to keep from getting ran over by the trucks.<\/p>\n
With more construction and city traffic, we arrived safely here around 1:00 where I had to back into our treeless site with the temperature stuck at sunny and 83 degrees.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
