3\/5\/2019 Elevation 2724<\/p>\n

We bailed south for a slightly warmer forecast but still going to get BELOW FREEZING……Mid 20\u2019s…….UGH!!! \u00a0I\u2019m over this cold weather and don\u2019t understand why I\u2019m getting no sympathy when, we\u2019re having a cold spell, from people who are below zero??? I just don\u2019t understand!!!<\/p>\n

The weather, before the cold front, was very comfortable in Jal NM, but we decided it would be better if we move about 100 miles further south to Fort Stockton.\u00a0One good thing, we were expecting a good deal of wind with the cold front, thankfully that never materialized.<\/p>\n

We spent the 3 cold nights in Fort Stockton, it\u2019s an expressway town, big enough to have a Wally World which I avoided like the plague!!!! \u00a0It is like all the other towns with in a couple of hundred miles is currently a boom town with oil workers everywhere.<\/p>\n

3\/6\/2019<\/p>\n

Pulled pork<\/b><\/p>\n

If I had been going a little faster, I was only going 35-40 or Mary was not quite as observant as she is, we may have had some pulled pork………..we would have been pulling pork off of the grill:) These guys were in no hurry and didn\u2019t have a care in the world.<\/p>\n

We were on our way to our next spot, which we arrived to safe and sound.<\/p>\n

We\u2019re here for 2 nights, Monahans Sandhills State Park TX, and I\u2019m afraid it might get kinda warm, after the cold front the temps are rising swiftly, it may get 80 or above here tomorrow.<\/p>\n

CARDIO<\/b> workout<\/b><\/p>\n

Anyone wanting a good cardio workout, go find some sand dunes, you don\u2019t need to walk very far to get you’r breathing and heart rate up! We didn\u2019t walk very far I\u2019m guessing 1\/2 mile at best………. I won\u2019t have any energy for the rest of the day………..Nap time:)<\/p>\n

It didn\u2019t get as warm as we expected, it only reached 78 today but with mostly cloudy it was pretty comfortable today. Had it been sunny it would have been uncomfortably warm. It was very different going to bet last night it was actually on the warm side, something we are not used to this winter.<\/p>\n

On 3\/4 we needed to run the heater all night, last night we almost opened the windows when we went to bed, what a difference a day makes.<\/p>\n

This state park CG is also very popular, starting Friday the CG is full with spring breakers, and there are 2 school bus loads of kids here today.<\/p>\n

I’m not sure where we\u2019re going from here, with spring break it sounds like all the good places are apparently going to be full.<\/p>\n
