We pulled out of Timber Ridge RV Resort at around 8:30. And clocked 168 miles today. Construction before we made it to I-75 and then again on the Mackinaw Bridge. $14 toll, which we sat for what felt like an hour to pay. We got in a line to pay the toll, the sign said cash or charge. I don\u2019t know what the hold up was but we\u2019re sitting behind a semi, can\u2019t see a thing really but I could see the person in the toll booth. Finally and I do mean finally the car in front of the semi made it through, the semi whizzed through, then it was our turn. The sigh changed to charge only, so shifting gears Mary dug out a charge card, we were planning to pay cash, thinking that would be faster.
On down the road we pull into this super small 6 site CG we found on allstays. No one around. We had the CG to ourselves, well that changed almost as soon as we got parked. Now all the sites are taken. $10 a night, no water, electricity or dump but we\u2019re looking out on the lake. It was cool enough that we didn\u2019t need to run the AC<\/p>\r\n
I might go into withdrawals, the last of the pie is gone and it’s just to far to go back and get another one:(<\/p>\r\n
So, we always keep the screen door closed along with window screens when the windows are open. Sitting outside yesterday afternoon and no real bug problem but did see a couple of misquotes flying around, came inside and closed all the windows & stuff, more than an hour before going to bed didn\u2019t see one flying critter. Turn the lights out and Mary starts getting eaten alive by misquotes, over the next hour and a half we chased down and killed 20+ of the little blood suckers, no idea where they came from or why they waited until we got in bed to start bothering us. At one time, while Mary is after one in the bathroom 3 more are biting her legs. They were blood thirsty, many that we killed left bloody spots when we killed them.<\/p>\r\n
We had considered staying a second night until the misquotes.<\/p>\r\n
Oh yea, not to be rubbing it in or anything like that, but the highs for the coming week are not going to get out of the 70’s. For you folks stuck in hades, you have my sympathy.<\/p>\r\n\n\t\t
