It had a ticking noise in the motor, they said it was a lifter rod and the repair was covered under warranty. I hope the ticking is not a sign of more motor related problems once the warranty expires. Anyway on the way home, I was on the motorcycle and stopped off to see a good friend, while Mary continued on home.

When I got home Mary was laying down and in a great deal of pain and immediately agreed with me on going to the ER, as you probably know that’s not fun. CT scan confirmed she has a kidney stone. The ER Dr. said he didn’t think she would be able to pass it , sent her home with some meds, that we had to go to Jeffersonville to get because by this time it was past 8:00 pm and the nearest still open Walgreens was in Jeffersonville.

8/17/2020 early AM.
It was a long night for Mary, she was in a good deal of pain all night and couldn’t keep anything down, this probably also included the pain pills the Dr prescribed.

About 2:30 last night I fired up the generator, to fight off the chill, we’re parked at Mary’s mom with no electricity. 32 degrees last night. Ordinary we would just fire it up when we get up to take the chill off but because she was up and down a lot so we just left it running to keep the electric heat going. The batteries won’t be complaining because they have not had a good full charge in several days, I’ve only been running the generator enough to keep them from going dead and with the sun lower in the sky we’re not getting a good solar charge either.

This has the makings of a very long weekend.

So now instead of leaving Monday as planned, we’re needing to make an emergency appointment with a urologist to see about getting the stone broken up, we’re going to do this weather she passes it or not. BTW they now have a 100% chance of rain in the forecast for Monday, since I don’t like driving in the rain…….

As of now, no idea when we’ll be pulling out.

Depending on what we learn Monday we will probably move to a campground, life is just a little more convenient with electricity on cooler nights.

I did tell Mary she should come up with less extreme measures to keep us in the area in the fall if she wants to stay that bad. Last year it was cancer, this year kidney stones are extending our stay.

10/19/2020

Saturday was along day for Mary, Saturday night and Sunday were not to bad. Monday was a visit to the Dr, then calling around to find a place to to stay since it will be Sept. 28 before she goes in to have it sonic blasted. Today is Tuesday so that makes it over a week before the procedure.

Calling around to RV parks after her appointment Monday, the park in Corydon, where we stayed last year is full, same with another park in Clarksville. Looking at Deams Lake and Charlestown state parks, they have openings through the week but booked solid for the weekends.

This morning we moved down to Deams Lake for 3 nights and will move back to Mary’s Mom’s Friday and the weekend. Not sure what we’re going to do beyond that.

The End

10/16/2020 We picked up the jeep in Corydon Friday afternoon.
