We spent 3 nights at Sowell Campground on Proctor Lake, again it’s another COE (Core of Engineers) campground. 7 sites on our loop and we had the loop to ourselves, not only that but we practically had the campground to our selves as there were only 3 campers total counting us, not counting the camp host. This park, while small, was interesting getting into. First was the guard gate, then you pulled forward about 100 ft where you had to enter a code at another gate to proceed to your camping spot or the boat ramp. We didn’t do much there, just enjoyed the bright sunshine and the high 70 degrees weather, it did get cool at night with a light frost on the jeep in the mornings.<\/p>\n
