Our first real stop was Sioux Falls South Dakota named after what else Sioux Falls which is on the big Sioux River.<\/p>\n
They have one of the nicest parks that we have seen in a while. We walked around a mile and 1\/2, this was just in the falls area, they have many connecting parks and trails along the river. I kinda miss calculated our time, we could have stayed longer and I wish we had.<\/p>\n
We stayed in a Fairgrounds campground last night, they were very relaxed on check out time, so we went to the falls this morning, along with doing laundry and the grocery store,<\/p>\n
The roads in the town are kind a strange and many are not on a typical grid pattern. Throw in some hills, non existent road striping and it mades for an interesting hunt through town.<\/p>\n
A near by airport had low flying planes over head often.<\/p>\n
The Queen Bee Mill built between\u00a01879 and 1881 stood on this site, it was a 7 story building. The mill never became profitable and went bankrupt 2 years later.<\/p>\n
There was also a small power plant there at one time but I didn’t read much about it.<\/p>\n
