Mary thinks I complain to much about the blasted heat, but I try not to mention it more than once every 1\/2 hour or so.<\/p>\n
We pulled out of Wendell around 8:00 this morning and drove 151 miles of 2 lane roads. It was all up hill some places steeper than others. Once we made it up this long climb we turned left into this long, wide, at the beginning, valley for about 30 miles, now the valley is starting to narrow. It has mountains on both sides with the occasional patch of snow, sure wish it was cooler here!<\/p>\n
From around 3380 feet we climbed to a little over 6,000 feet, the campsite is paved but we’re not as level as I would like. We have a nice covered picnic table, there is anything from no to a very slight breeze to a big wind gust. The write up for this CG was confusing to say the least, it’s a first come first serve CG, that’s one reason we left early to hopefully snag one, which we did, the only one in this loop, and maybe the only one in the CG at the time, though out the day as one camper would leave 2 would be rolling through looking for a spot. As for the write up we didn’t know it we would have electric and water, we don’t really need it but with the heat I wanted the option on running the AC and we can’t do that without being plugged in, we do have E & W. My hope is we won’t need the AC. We sat outside most of the afternoon once we got set up, it was warm inside but not unbearable and cooled off good once the sun went down.<\/p>\n
I can’t remember if I mentioned this or not but it sure is hot and I don’t care for the heat!!!!<\/p>\n
At least it cools off from the miserable heat to nice and cool by mornings, I guess I shouldn’t complain there are places much hotter than we are here.<\/p>\n
