A strange and twisted mind

This guy ain’t got nothing on me when it comes to a strange and twisted mind, oops!  Please forget you just read about me having a strange and twisted mind, most of all please don’t let Mary know, I’v had her fooled all these years, I’d hate for her to find out now. Anyway, who am I talking about? Well, he wrote a book called the Green Mile. Still don’t know? How about he wrote the books IT & PET SEMATARY along with many others. Yup, you guessed it Steven King of course who else. He lives in Bangor ME so we did a quick stop and snapped a few pictures of his house.

Then we checked out the Thomas Hill Standpipe, it’s an old water tower built in 1897, that is still in use today, I think. While we didn’t get to go inside,  the actual water tank is 1.75 million gallons of water, housed in a riveted steel tank that is housed in a wooden structure. By the way, it ain’t small, the steel tank is 75 feet around and 35 ft tall and I don’t know how big the Woden housing is.

Then it was a drive by of yet another Paul Bunyan statue. Tell me who would build a tourist attraction without some convent parking. Mary took a few pics as we drove by, because there was no parking close. Bangor gets an. F for that one!

We were going to walk a boardwalk to explore a bog, but it was closed due to the HIGH WIND, today. To say it’s windy today would be an understatement! Anytime you looked at a route in maps you would get a high wind warning.

We ended up eating dinner in a Marina & park parking lot, while we got out and walked around we typically eat in the van.

The End
